M2m (MENTOR TO MENTEE) PROGRAM
PURPOSE OF THE MENTORING PROGRAM
To prepare the students of Yaşar University, Faculty of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising Department for their future business life, to bring them together with experienced mentors in the same or similar profession, to enable them to benefit from their professional skills and experience, and to overcome the difficulties they encounter in the environment and conditions.
PLACE AND DURATION
First of all, it is to match the mentors from the communication sector in Izmir with the students who apply to the program, and to bring them together in an environment of their own choosing. If the pandemic process continues, interviews can be made online. Interviews will be planned as 6 sessions, approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour. It is recommended to meet at least once a month for at least 4 months.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM
Students in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Yaşar University anticipate the difficulties they may encounter while they are preparing for business life. Enable them to plan for solutions in advance and aware of their personal abilities and skills, develop self-confident and problem-solving approaches, know their social and social responsibilities, and are aware of the place of women in society.

STAGES OF THE PROGRAM
- Pre-Introduction
- Determination of volunteer mentors
- Giving mentoring training to mentors
- Receiving transcripts, letters of intent and portfolios from mentee candidates
- Determination of mentees by taking requests
- Giving mentee training to mentees
- Matching mentors and mentees
- Signing protocols and archiving protocols between mentor and mentee
- Starting the talks
- Follow-up, evaluation of the process
- Completion of the mentoring work
- Overall assessment and closing
- Moving on to the second period
MENTOR SELECTION CRITERIA TO THE MENTORING PROGRAM
Students who will be mentee are required to have a GPA of 2.5. Students with this average will prepare a letter of intent. They can also attach their portfolio to the letter of intent. Letters of intent and portfolios will be reviewed together by mentors and lecturers.
